In an interview, Kishimoto was talking about how he does not know how to defeat Madara. Obviously Madara behaves like an idiot at the moment since he could easily kill everyone in front of him. One strong Shinra Tensei and they all shall be flattened. I don't even know what is the deal. With his own body and eyes in place, he should be multiple of what Nagato could do. I assume Madara just does not need their deaths and just wants to go with the plan. He wants his version of violent-less, peace in the end.
If Kishimoto does not know how to "defeat" Madara with the given characters, he will likely be overcome through TnJ. Though that is also not that close, because obviously Kishimoto is about to give everyone a plethora of power-ups and Madara seems to have amnesia about his jutsus in sage mode... And i don't think there is a way that that crying lunatic Sasuke is leaving Madara alive lol. Just recall that scene when Obito gets TnJed. He still charges towards him, intending to murder him despite what happened previously.
