Discussion: Toneri and Momoshiki - Boruto's Eyes: Fate

I looked back and Toneri said that Boruto's eye will guide him to a light which will dispel the darkness. Earlier Toneri said that Boruto is linked to a harvest, and something about a comet reaching the constellation. A bunch of gibberish.

Though, from the context it looks like Boruto's Dojutsu seems to be the important aspect in all of this, rather than Boruto (as a person). His eye is linked to what-ever is going on, but based on Toneri's words, it looks like he's trying to reach Boruto for him to look towards the light.

But Momoshiki, he tells Boruto that his eyes are cursed. He even places a seal on Boruto.

Shit. This is low key kind of intriguing. I guess this means that Boruto's eye can be used two ways:

* To be used in order to prevent something
* To be used in order to destroy everything

I guess the real question is, will Boruto be tempted to stay on a path of light, or will he be swayed by Momoshiki curse?

It's definitely hard to pinpoint it, though at the very last minute I suspect Boruto will probably redeem himself. I can't help but get the feeling that Momoshiki is gonna trip him all over with that curse and tattoo.

It'll be an interesting twist of it turned out that Kawaki was the good guy and that it was Boruto who killed/sent Naruto away.

Or maybe he gets swayed to the dark side, teams up with Kawaki to destroy Konoha, but up on some event, sees the error of his ways and decides to stand against Kawaki.

boruto's eye might have a destructive power that he cannot control.....a power that causes him to destroy teh village/kill his father and himiwari.....

maybe kaweki can manipulate his power due to boruto's inability to control it and teh fact that they share similar markings...

The Last. Since the movie's material is being used via Toneri, that means the title may relate to why Bolt is special, epsecially with it being said Bolt got nothing from Naruto, so it must be all Hinata.

i could see something like that happening but didnt kawaki say himself he sent naruto away? maybe their is something more to it like maybe kawaki teleported all of the shinobi to some place and only bolt and him remained, and since the curse mark and dojutusu thing are probably connected maybe they have specific abilities only counter able by the exavt same power, similar to rsm/rinnegan and limbo shit

Agreed. If it turns out that Boruto was the one who ****ed everything up, we might have a redemption-style story arc with his character progression.

Except this one would be more literal, instead of him having cheating issues.
