I think Edo tensei is a very incomplete jutsu. Ill explain.

The host is like a puppet master

and the string is the connection

the puppets are the zombies

since the jutsu doesn't stop until the host deactivates it

if the string is broke the puppets move free by their own will beacuse they temporaraly have their personalities (unless removed like kabuto did to some zombies with a weaker talisman and obito's rinne six paths to jinchuriki)

Characters who broke the connection had unique ways of breaking the string and No talisman

making the connection string very weak against characters with strong personas or strong counters

Hashi's and tobi's chakra levels alone can break the string of connections(No talisman this time)

itachi using koto amatsukami countered and over lapped the string connectionin to non existing in existence(no talisman)

madara knew how too break it by preforming some seals and will power(No talisman)

These four alone have really strong will power and counters

this jutsu depends on the will power of the user too

Oro only has control because of the cells that make him stronger in body but he didn't place the usual talisman in their heads so they almost got loose due to mad chakra levels

Kinda mad that nagato didn't break the string too since he was blessed with rinnegan but his persona wasn't strong in edo form to me.

I wonder if the third and fourth can figure out a way

some of you might know all this too but im just making a disscusion


This jutsu can become complete if the user erases all peronality from the zombie and uses a strong talisman combined with strong user will power. Other wise zombies with unlimited chakra and a strong persona with no talismans and smart brains can over power the user connection string with special techniques or stronger will power.

i think tobirama was going to perfect it to the point where the revived individuals would be as human and real as possible, and not zombies that turn to paper.

well the user of edo tensei can't use the edo's powers like the edo's themselves, it won't be as efficient as seen with nagato
but letting the edo have free will, can also lead to the caster demise.

It's either this, or i think that the Fourth could just do his flicker/flash thing in a way and sever the 'connection string' also i believe that the Fourth's will power is gonna overpower oro when he decides to go find Naruto...

i don't know if it will be "complete" due to the fact that edo's can either sever the link or they can overcome it thru sheer will. even when oro revived hashirama and tobirama, they were revived @ a fraction of their strength making it easier for him to retain control as we just saw the first break the edo without doing any hand signs

Its complete when they have talismans that erase their personalites then they have no will power...the last couple of chapters show alot of edos with weaker or no talismans
