Look at the theory of US .

WASHINGTON (AP) — A U.S. official says investigators are examining the possibility that someone caused the disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines jet with 239 people on board, and that it may have been "an act of piracy."

The official wasn't authorized to speak publicly on the matter and spoke only if not identified. While other theories are still being examined, the official says key evidence for "human intervention" in the plane's disappearance is that contact with its transponder stopped about a dozen minutes before a messaging system quit.

This official says that it's also possible the plane may have landed somewhere.

Another communications system on the plane continued to "ping" a satellite for about four hours after contact was lost with the Boeing 777 during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing — an indication the plane may have continued to fly on for hours.

What are your thoughts on this ?

I think that someone defenitely has kidnapped them . I mean , how come all of their telephone signal is still working ? This means the airplane hasn't crashed . There's also a possibility to have landed on some lost island .

All I can think off are those episodes of Lost.

In all seriousness, It is an important matter. I have heard tons of theories even ones like U.F.O abduction but I doubt that is the case since the telephone signal still works. I hope they will appear somewhere safe and sound

That's not all the way true. They now think the two people who got on board with stolen passports. Out of the two one of them knew how to fly a plane and jacked It way of course. So who's too say, the other day they claimed to find wreckage of the ship and when they sent out rescue they couldn't find It. Hell some say It was an explosion in which case there wouldn't really be nothing left to find. It's all messed up.

In a far more detailed description of military radar plotting than has been publicly revealed, two sources told Reuters an unidentified aircraft that investigators suspect was missing Flight MH370 appeared to be following a commonly used navigational route when it was last spotted early on Saturday, northwest of Malaysia.
That course - headed into the Andaman Sea and towards the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean - could only have been set deliberately, either by flying the Boeing 777-200ER jet manually or by programming the auto-pilot.
A third investigative source said inquiries were focusing more on the theory that someone who knew how to fly a plane deliberately diverted the flight hundreds of miles off its scheduled course from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
"What we can say is we are looking at sabotage, with hijack still on the cards," said the source, a senior Malaysian police official.

Yes , hence I think that they're kidnapped . I agree with the first paragraph .

<div class="bbWrapper">It's obvious they were hijacked. Planes don't just &quot;disappear&quot;. Also, it wasn't aliens. I'm sure all will be revealed in time. Of course the government's good at covering things up. I think there's a possibility they already know where the place is. But that's just me.</div>

Apparently the tracking system in the plane was turned off. There would have to be someone that could disable the planes tracking system. So I'm leaning towards the hijacking theory.

Here's a few tidibits from the last couple of hours:

"A Malaysia Airlines plane sent signals to a satellite for four hours after the aircraft went missing, an indication that it was still flying for hundreds of miles or more, a U.S. official briefed on the search said Thursday, reports quoting Associated Press. Six days after the plane with 239 people aboard disappeared, Malaysian authorities expanded their search westward toward India, saying the aircraft may have flown for several hours after its last contact with the ground shortly after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing. A string of previous clues about Flight MH370 have led nowhere."

"Earlier, US media outlets also quoted unnamed officials as saying that the Boeing 777 was "pinging" satellites for hours after its last contact with air traffic controllers. That led searchers to believe the plane could have flown more than 1,600 km (1,000 miles) beyond its last confirmed radar sighting.
White House spokesman Jay Carney has confirmed that US teams were shifting their focus to the Indian Ocean because of "new information", but gave no further details."
