Discrediting Hashirama's Hype from Madara

For the longest time. People believed that Hashirama was superior to Madara soley based on this scan

Some took this to believe that Madara was admiting inferiorty. This is false.

Madara says "I wanted to fight with Hashirama before becoming a Jinchuriki, but...". This clearly implies that Madara believed he would have defeated Hashirama and also that Hashi couldnt stop the Juubi.


Disclaimer: This thread's sole purpose is to show that statements can't be the base for an argument in a character beating another at face value. Leave that to feats.

They just shouldn't be twisted around to instill a sense of superiority in certain characters.

Wanting to fight someone doesn't necessarily mean you're confident in beating them. Sasuke was confident in beating Lee, he got his ass whooped. Zaku was confident in beating Sasuke, he got his ass whooped. Neji was confident in beating Naruto, he lost and so forth... Hashirama is the superior combatant, which is common manga knowledge.

Someone can't read.. How does him wanting to fight Hashirama have anything to do with him thinking he can beat Hashirama.

Cause last time I checked Hashirama put Madara on hold, even after seeing that he has the rinnegan. .

The problem with your logic is this:
Gaara vs Lee = Gaara the winner

Then lee turns 7/8 gates you start saying Lee is superior to Gaara... while the character front out says Gaara can still stop him.


So let me ask you this in which case did your discredit the hype? The way that Hashirama is treating Madara as a priority # 2 , knowing that Madara has the rinnegan.. or is it Madara saying Hashirama can still stop him?

Not really. This time he isn't overestimating himself. Just look at what Happened at VOTE.
