They probably allowed her to settle in, but even saying that is a mess. She probably has her own home in the settlement, but overall she isn't a part of them.

Hanabi was chosen as Hinata's successor. Hinata fighting with the Hyuuga clan members doesn't mean she is apart of the clan when in fact she was fighting with Team 8, not the Hyuuga clan, but later joined up with Neji afterwards.

The only problem here is that your thinking is simplistic and retarded. Being a father or mother who takes care of their kids means he/she is less respectable than any other male or female is just biased thinking.
