Disappointed in Itachi

The new manga's out, and with it comes a bunch of new topics. It was a decent chapter if you ask me, but what really bugged me was Itachi.

I can understand that he's still serious, but shouldn't he lighten up and talk a little with Sasuke? The brother he supposedly loved more than the village? Also, I expected him to step up and at least TRY to knock some sense into Sasuke, not just leaving it to Naruto. 'Twas a bit cruel to say that he had no attachments left in the world to Sasuke's face, wasn't it?

I don't know, it just seems so out of character for him. What do you think?

I was trying to understand your point and where you are coming from...but the same thing keeps popping up...ITACHI IS DEAD!!! he is a Zombie...so no he doesn't have attachments to this world....get over it

He is, indeed, dead. His feelings, mind, ability to talk and make decisions, are not, however.

There is nothing to "get over" as you so brashly put it. I hope it's just not too late for Itachi to provide Sasuke some comfort.

I agree. For some weird reason I felt sorta dejected when he said he had no attachments. (what about your fans? lolz jk).In Sasuke's head he must'a been like "Dude, I'm standing right here".

I hope we see a little brotherly love before he releases the Edo Tensei

IMO he isn't sasuke brothers anymore, he might flesh and blood, I know what he did wasn't reasonable, but when you look deep into it, Naruto was much closer than Itachi was to sauske, though I'm also dissapointed in Itachi, he should talk to sasuke no matter, and he should've FOUGHT like a man -_-, Kishi is getting soft with this and making Naruto 100% the center of this manga ( I know it's called Naruto, but if he's going to do that then there should be only Naruto and Villains, no other people only those four characters)... that doesn't make any sense, he simply shows that Naruto will save the world and everything... damn that's so....

Sasuke said that he wouldn't forgive. So i guess he didn't really wanna know why Itachi protects Konoha so much. He just can't understand. He just wants revenge.

Maybe Itachi knows he can't change his brother, and believes Naruto can, dunno.

Notice that Sasuke says that Itachi was the one who made him that way.
That's very immature of him. He can´t stand up for his life choices.

You guys cant forget that itachi is under genjutsu.. Right no his only purpose is to save his village and he trust naruto to save sasuke.. If itachi fixed sasuke now their would be no final NARUTO VS SASUKE battle.

Plus it's better for the fate of the ninja world if Itachi stops the jutsu now, instead of letting it go any longer and thereby risking more victims. Itachi realizes that and that's why he wants to stop the Edo Tensei now.

Question is: are Uchihas able to express affection? Or even say something nice to another? I mean Itachi's affection towards Sasuke was poking him in the forehead and taunting him to make sure he got stronger ...
The only one who really showed any type of affection was their mother.
I think most Uchihas are just emotionally stunted. They don't know how to express positive feelings - since it's been shown they do know how to express anger, fury, etc ... Even regret a bit.
Anyway, I digress. I think Tobi will be the one who's going to be furious once he notices that his help is disappearing again ^^;
