Dilemma

I need to decide between going to the USMC or waiting for the road trip. We have a road trip in 2019, my childhood friend, and his sister who I have been infatuated with since I was 13. I know it's infatuation and not love, because if she were to say I meant nothing to her or whatever, the feelings I have for her would be negative. That's the minor issue here. The major issue is her brother, my sworn brother, wants me to participate in his business of making music. So I have to invest time into his business with him, which I do not feel like doing. Also, I would have to pay for half the van for a road trip, and he does too.

So should I do things I do not want to do, for the sake of a road trip? The real reason I am going is to see the girl who I like a lot.

Or should I join the military, and get a guaranteed career? Good training, benefits, free housing etc?

I have one month to decide!

Dude, think about yourself. Do a list of pros and cons but your future is more important than anything but it seems to me that you already know the answer. Your friend needs to be ok with any decision you make and support you.

I think you need to make up your own mind and then make a decision you can live with.
Maybe take a chance first then try the army some other year or something if it doesn't work out.
Sometimes I wonder if family is more important that career, and I think family wins by a little so I think you should do something that would make you happy first and foremost but maybe in your shoes I would have chosen to join the army.
I don't know.

Go for the army as it will give you a stable foundation in your life.
