Guys. I stumbled over a video just now, which give a first insight into the second movie of the 6-part series "Digimon Adventure Tri. It's a well-done, short trailer, here you go:

My opinion:
I absolutely can't wait for the release on 12th, March 2016. A bit more than two weeks!
To be honest, I shed some tears while watching this. The nostalgia is strong with this one.. not as much as with the first movie, but still very strong. I lost it when Ogremon and Leomon were shown. This series will be so awesome!

So.
The second of six movies has been released and I finished watching it a few minutes ago. I thought I could share my thoughts about it here and maybe there is someone who also watched the movie and wants to talk about it. If you want to watch the movie in the future, stop reading please. I won't use spoiler tags.

Let's see.
First thing, Leomon vs. Ogremon was nice for nostalgia-reasons, but a bit short, in my opinion. They could've extended the scenes to a real fight. Also, Leomon looked a bit derpy in the whole movie, I think that is a pity.

The bath-scene was nothing but unnecessary if you ask me. I know that they have 6 movies to cover in total, so the story can't always be flashy, but still. It added nothing relevant to the story, neither was it funny tbh. Maybe it is just me, I dislike bath comedy. The creators could've used this screentime to do more meaningful things, explaining stuff and such.

Joe's trouble is very interesting. He and Taichi share similar issues and I facepalmed myself when Joe just ignored everything. The problems, his friends and even Gomamon. I kinda understand his view, but he has overcome it before, so why did he relapse? But it was good. I'm also interested to see how Taichi and Matt (Yamato) will settle things. There is "still a lot of wood in the fire", like we would say in german. The conflict isn't solved yet. It was heartwarming to see that Joe still found his balls again and helped Gomamon in the end. This little guy made me feel sorry every time when Joe rejected him. The new digivolution is cool, but Gomamon's version looked a bit weird.

The drama around Mimi on the other hand, felt forced. I don't know, it was stupid. Like.. as if the creators thought "Hey, how can we add some more drama? Right, let's make them behave illogical and a bit out of character!" At least the problem got solved very quickly, so we don't have to deal with it in the later movies (I hope).

The school-event was great. When Himekawa sent Izzy a picture of Mimi, his reaction was what I expected, but it was still a very good laugh. Leomon in disguise was hilarious! Absolutely not suspicious at all XD

So. Then the final part of the movie was shown and it looks like Ken (the former Digimon Kaiser) is the villain, again. How? Why? At this time, it doesn't make much sense to me. I badly want to know what happened to Davis and the other Digidestined of Adventure 02. But of course, the movie ended with a cliffhanger. Also, Leomon died, again. But this time, it was sooo random. I already miss him :/
Meicoomon seems to be the root of all the new problems and even got a dark form or a dark digivolution, I don't know.

This movie was way more slow-paced than the first one, but I already expected that. The movie added character development and let us get to know the characters better. I'm fine with this as long as the next movies will show more of the plot and especially Ken and the other Digidestined of season 2.

What do you think about it?
