Different factors and opinions. Please tell me what you think??

Seeing as this seems to a popular discussion and I personally find it an interesting subject to discuss. I will ask the opinions of people on NB for the cause for ones sexuality and ones views on sexuality.

The reasons for this is as following: A lot of people think that your sexuality is based on your DNA and is decided upon birth, whereas some people think that people it is simply based upon the way you are raised and what goes on in your home life, and some people think that it is mixture of the two.

There are people who dislike Homosexuals/Bisexuals/Transgenders based on whatever reasons some being: religion, parents raising them to dislike them, personal views and negative experiences.

I simply have some questions for everyone regardless of their views.

Question 1) What is your view on why people have a certain sexuality??

Question 2) Why is that your view??

Please state your opinions respectfully and nicely as people take offence if you don't explain your reasons or state them in a negative way and I am prone to ask questions and I mean no offence to anyone with this thread or any of my questions.

idk why people have a certain sexuality i thought it was like a mental thing like your born with that mental mindset that makes you attracted to a certain gender...idk lol that sounds a lot better when i say it in my head

my life style is all about being true to yourself and being healthy and happy. if some one tells me they are gay it doesn't bother me at all.
im happy that they are happy

Perfectly okay with it. Let people live their lives as long as they do not cause harm, infact discrimination causes harm. There are researches about whther people born with it or not, but it does not matter because people change; i did not born as a 48 kg college student yet people change...I think people develop tendencies in years haven't seen a 1 year old boy getting horny over a girl...

Sense o humantiy and knowing that people are hamless in such intentions. I am from an Islamic country, my parents are Muslim and do not approve homosexuality but i grew my own sense just like how a human develops.

To be fair, religion is not a valid arguement here; if someone brings religion as why different sexualities can't be approved, it is same as saying people who believe different religions or in different ways can't be approved. It is yor religion and your way of believing; not others'.

Well there is not really a point in answering this question if the answer is that no one is born gay.

but ill put my opinion on it.

1. i did not grow up religious and i still aint religious but i believe jesus christ is everyone lord and savior aka salvation and i believe in the one true god.

2. i dont like gays or transgender but i dont hate them or treat them any different... its the ones who try to promote that lifestyle aka gay pride.

3. homosexuality is wrong just as any other love as love is not perfect so people saying homosexuality is right is like saying any other type of "love" such as pedophiles love for children is "right". see alot of hyprocrites who deny that.

i think it's a mixture, everyone is born with certain dna and genes that dictate how they start in their life, but those stuff can change later in their life. so some people are "born" gay, and some become gay. however both are ok and should not be shunned or disapproved. even if someone became gay at 25 it doesn't mean it's any less real, sexuality is complicated and i don't think you can choose what you feel, same way i don't think anyone who choose to become christian is wrong i don't think anyone who choose to be gay is wrong.

because i don't think people are so easily manipulated, being gay is not a lie and is not just to piss off parents or religious people. generalization is the worst enemy of acceptance and equality.

Personally i won't go as far as forbid any certain sexuality, which are sometimes called unethical or wrong sexualities, but i would say that public display of any such maters should not be permitted, i for one would feel grotty if i was faced with gay *** in public.

I believe a person is born a certain ***, being either male or female.
Those who want to become the opposite *** are choosing to change, although there are some extreme cases where hormones don't react at birth/early childhood or whatever reason why a person may favor the other *** then.

I actually don't care for the subject, it's not my place to governor someone else's life. I feel the same about abortion.

1. I think it's normal and okay. People can like whoever they want.

2. That feels right and fair to me. Nobody should be hindered like that. Nobody should stop sexual relations or love between two adults/two teenagers. Just let people enjoy life, you know? I'm for equality. It's interesting since I stem for a Christian family. However, I think it's just in my nature to accept people. Maybe it's because of comics. I think of how Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are good people. X-Men is about equality. Maybe it seeped into me without me knowing more than Christianity did. I'm not an atheist or anything. I'm not really religious, but if I had to pick a side I am religious, although I don't agree with some things, anti-gay being one of them. Anyways, back to the question, the first "gay" couple I shipped was TyZula. They are my favorite couple ever. They influenced my life, I like them that much. They just felt so natural and I didn't see it as "gay." I don't like using the word gay actually. It's attraction or love or whatever, you know? People just liking people or whatever. No big deal to me. Guys like girls, cool. Girls like guys, cool. Girls like girls, cool. Guys like guys, cool. I'm very relaxed about this. I don't see any problems. With TyZula I just saw love. That's the best way I can explain. Overall in the grand scheme of thing, I don't see it as two women or two men. I just see it as love or likeness.
