Difference between unstabalized and stable Susanoo?

I don't quite understand what Madara meant "settle down" to his susanoo. The unstable form was only shown for a few seconds before stabilizing, so what was the point of showing it? Is it just a more defensive version of the PS?

Also is the unstable form shown as the one Sasuke used when he unwrapped his band-aids against the Zetsu?

The first part I can't answer since the only difference I see is the physical difference.

On the second part, the version Sasuke uses against the zetsus was still partly incomplete from what I can see (A lack of legs and armor)

The point of showing was for the PS to debut in both forms, as well as to make the Kages crap their pants 2 times instead of 1. And yes, it adds another lair of armor.

Not sure what you're asking about Sasuke, but his Tengú Susano'o was not PS. He first started showing signs of achieving Perfect Susano'o during the war...

Hence the more chakra they invest , the bigger their susanoos become.
However , It would be harder to control and materialize such a large amount of chakra in PS.

Unstabilize susanoo is just a large lump of chakra without complete shape transformation.
As Madara 'settles down' , he gains complete control over the shape and creates PS.
