Yes, and also just like Izuna, if he hadn't killed himself then Itachi would have prolly been sasuke (not likely since indra picked sasuke) because shisui was older (right?) and Itachi younger (right?)
Shisui said for the clan, not for the village, Itachi went with the village.

History does repeat itself, sasuke was going for the clan (like Shisui) then saw Itachi and picked the village and clan.
