Oh but it does make a difference. Around the same age is not the same age and a difference of a year could have a huge impact on a ninja's growth and abilities and thus your comparison is inaccurate and thus invalid.

@Bold So define the perception of an adult hyuga then with mangafacts. And also note that even with the so called perception of a adult hyuga, Hanabi was never called a genius ever while Neji was regarded as the greatest hyuga genius ever to exist by everyone.

Hiashi was comparing the potential overall irrespective of age and the below scans clearly proves my point. He clearly says the main branch has been surpassed and Hanabi was the heir back then and he also says that Hizashi should've been the head meaning Hanabi had no chance of ever surpassing Neji. Also Hanabi never hid her true potential like Hinata did so Hiashi's comparison was pretty fair.

there is no age difference at all.I am only using their 13 years old version in thread .

The last Hanabi is 13 years old same with late part 1 Hinata and same with early part 1 Neji.

At those age Neji could only see 50 m away which is inferior to adult Hyugas.

At same age Hinata coulnd't see tenketsu which is inferior to adult Hyugas.

Meanwhile 13 years old Hanabi has perception as any grown up Hyuga as said.

So when there were 13 Hanabi had the best Byakugan perception among those 3.

Many members wonder what is difference between pure and regular Byakugan. So I will be kind and explain everything with perfect example :

We will use only canon facts and compare 13 years old Hinata Byakugan insight with 13 years old Hanabi pure Byakugan insight.

A) 13 years old Hinata regular Byakugan perception :

As we see 13 old Hinata Byakugan couldn't see her opening points are closed. Neji even confirmed this by saying " my eyes can even see opening points " clearly suggesting HInata eyes can't.

B) 13 years old Hanabi Pure Byakugan perception :

As we see her pure Byakugan perception is already on level of any adults like Hiashi and others.

So conclusion :

At age of 13 Hinata regular Byakugan couldn't even see chakra points while Hanabo's pure Byakugan was as good as any adult Hyuga.

Thanks for reading and I hope this explains why Toneri wanted Hanabi Byakugan eyes for his Tenseigan.

.
I am reading nothing but facts, it's unfortunate they'll make many :salt:y af.

Giving praise just mean you acknowledge their skill/will don't necessarily mean it's a high regard. Besides Neji started doing that anyone during part 1 when Naruto beat him up. My point was there isn't much or any feats that have their Byakugan being on par or greater.
And I didn't compare their skills, I compared their byakugan's potential. I will be the first one to admit that Neji was better in terms of skills but he was the one who realized that Hinata's lack of skills lies with her lack of confidence in herself and she's the one holding herself back. Something which the DB confirms as well. Then during the timeskip, Neji managed to extend his byakugan's range from a mere 50m to 800m while Hinata was able to increase it to about 10-13km which again shows her byakugan's potential. Neji's and Hinata's byakugan doesn't have to be the same in every way but overall they rival each other's potential which is again consistent based on abilities.

There is when Hinata was only 12 during the chunnin exams arc and Hanabi was either 14 or in her late 13 during the last movie. As I already said that 1 year is a hell lot of time for a ninja to grow so your comparison is invalid.

@Bold I asked you definitive proof of an adult hyuga's perception. All you're throwing in are vague assumptions without any evidence.

So not only you fail at comparing them at the same age but the argument you're using to compare them is nothing but an assumption so overall its an epic fail of a thread lol.

Thats Kakashi talking about chakra pathway system ( chakra network / inner coils system) .Hinata could see that no one denied that but as Kakashi later said

Above the inner coils system are 361 chakra holes something Hinata couldn't see at that point.

Seeing tenketsu requires greater insight thats why Neji was bragging how his eyes can see even the tenketsu and Hinata couldn't see them and she didn't even realise they are closed until Neji showed it to her.
U can clearly see Hinata seeing the Tenketsu in that scan , not just the pathway system. That her exact Pov and she can see the points along the pathway + the chakra vibration from Neji's body. No reason why Hinata would know her own points are blocked when she focused on Neji. The points were blocked very neatly so she had no way of knowing.

-Neji saying his eyes can see the tenketsu is more akin to the sharingan users saying they can see movements , meaning catch. Hence the reason Kakashi was impressed and this scan.

Well, this is incorrect. The perception she mentions there is referring to the byakugan's ability to pick up on details and help its user establish simple facts about the person they are trying to understand in a way that makes it seem as if the byakugan can actually read minds.

Its what Neji does here [ ], what Hinata does here [ ] and what Hiashi does here [ ]. If you had the ability to understand context + continuity, you would have realized in the full scene, Hanabi sees Hinata pacing up and down and lost in thought and that's when perception came into play. Hinata even says children should not talk about stuff like that iirc to which Hanabi then makes the adult retort further cementing the fact Hanabi was able to understand exactly what was going through her mind.

And even if you can't understand that, common sense which quite frankly you've displayed many times to lack would have helped you realize all Byakugan can see tenketsu. Its just actually being able to perceive them accurately in a fight is something that should be impossible for genin level Hyuga as per Kakashi's statement. Neji was an exception as he was just and the only proclaimed genius of the clan.

I believe this is all a huge overreach.

The color for purity in Japan is white. The Byakugan is white. Hanabi was a minor and an easy target to the puppets, so therefore easily kidnapped.
