So I change my gender as a female and someone else who is female tries to discuss with me about female stuff.
Someone likes my post AND because I am female and gets an impression but then finds out I am a guy.
A desperate male thinks I am a female and hits on me,he gets disappointed.
A guy acts as female and starts to act like a femminazi..irony
If one is a female I am talking to I would refer her as she and if he is guy I would refer him as he while discussing a matter one's gender might be used to judge a person's behavior. Also swearing at a person, you swear at one you call one a ****** and he turns out to be a female.I would have rather used *****.
Well:
Then it depends on the intentions of the guy and how a female would feel about it. Also, this is the internet, you need to be 'street smart' about most things here, lest you be out in a nasty situation.

Likes the post because it's a female, you mean? Depends on what forum it is etc. NB isn't primarily a dating site, for example.

He needs to learn more about the internet.

Depends on what they're being particular about.

Might. What about transvestites? They may feel, not only behave, in a way that is particular to a certain gender.

I don't think the discontent on your side would go unnoticed either way.

I tried to retort in order of what you wrote. ;)

you cant tell people that they need to be learn that is Internet, they will be whatever they are.You cant tell people that this is not a dating site and not be thirsty and hit on others.

NB does not need to be a dating site.If some one is a female and I see a location is in my country I would definitely gonno talk to her.Not intending to date but just talk.We discuss a lot of things in ND and one's opinion would be seen differently by his/her gender. For example My perspective about Ira would be different if she was a guy.

cant say anything about transvestites and trans genders also..

I meant that as an advice more than a command, as in - if they don't know what it is they're using, I believe problems are right around the corner.
I'm only saying that it isn't primarily a dating site, as that definition would rely heavily on what the creators' intentions with it are, not only on what people make it out to be, is what I think. I'm not questioning them per se, just advising they be smart about it, sorry it came off as such.

I didn't say so, but I get your point, I think.
Not necessarily; people may think the same thing despite identifying with different genders. I'm not seeing what the issue here is though, if there is any? Why would it be different if Ira was a guy?

Why not? I think it relevant as they too might access this forum and in cases where it isn't about behaviour, I think this holds water.

I don't think the creators of Vbulletin forum who designed the avatar and user module and the craters of this site thought users might create a persona like they do it here or people demanded that one should set the gender as what one's is or people complained about it but really what can be done about it.

Some do some don't also depending on what a person is talking about.People interact in VMs and chatterbox other than discussion.

well..I cant say anything about it because I cant think of any.

No I was thinking more along the lines of the creators of this forum knowing what vBulletin was before they used it and what for; and that now, they also have intentions with it, possibly not the same as when they begun as change is inevitable. There are means to change things, the gender symbol, for example, was disabled for some time and just got back not so long ago - they can do a lot of things to change how we present ourselves on this forum.

Agreed, yet still lost but whatevs~ ;)

All right! Nice discussing this with you!
