Both believe they are the only ones who can change the world. Both want to become Hokage no matter the cost. Both could not care less about the opinions of their peers. Both take extreme measures. Both want to replace the system with their own.

danzo is what sasuke will become in the future unless naruto can TNJ him before it's too late. Danzo and hiruzen's relationship mirrors sasuke's and naruto's relationship:

same team
rivals
etc..

Only difference I can think of is that sasuke isn't a coward like danzo was shown to be in the scene when the 2nd asked for a volunteer to be the decoy.
