We don't know everything out Haki, as it is, and I'm sure Oda will be introducing new twist to CoA at least, the most popular one, to keep it fresh because he doesn't want it to lose shock value.

The 2 CoA we know of right now are the solid black, and the 'invisible' one that doesn't change color. what future twists do you think will be added to it, or effects? I'm intersted in your thoughts.

I think by EoS there will be 4 kinds of CoA. Black, invisible, red, and white. Not sure what effects they will have... but what I'm most sure of is a white CoA, since we have a black one. It would be a cool idea to me anyway.

I don't think colour can make any difference. Any COA serves the same purpose. It acts as a shield when it comes to defence and adds more brute strength to your attacks when it comes to offence that's it. IMO we will get to know more about kings haki.

The black color is the color of armament. People like Luffy sometimes(mostly at the beginning of part2) before coating their attack with armament explicitely say color of armament before launching their attacks and effectively it turns to the black color. There are times though were it can be invisible. Like when Hody managed to bite through Luffy's coating(it was invisible), yet he said his coating wasn't strong enough to protect against these kind of attacks. That alone shows that the appearance of color or not doesn't mean anything in the end. The color was just adapted to emphasize if someone uses armament, nothing more nothing less

Haki became black after timeskip because it didn't play a role in the story of the SH's in part 1.

Otherwise Oda would've drawn everybody with black limbs in the war of the best. He just chose to introduce the audience when Ray taught Luffy and make it 'normal' in part 2.

The invisible haki is invisible because Oda didnt know yet what exactly he wanted to do with Haki
invisible haki has still taken place in part 2.

So basically Vergo, Sai and Tashigi > Sengoku, Whitebeard, Akainu, Kizaru, Kuzan, Mihawk, ... ?
Did you really compare Post-TS with Pre-TS? If blackening CoA exist during Pre-TS, we will see it on marineford.

I think the invisible haki is base of CoA, so the solid black is the stronger type of CoA.
If you compare this during Post-TS, you will understand my line.

I've heard a theory about why Haki wasn't black before timeskip. It's because One Piece is mostly seen through Luffy's eyes, so blackness wasn't there because he couldn't use Haki and so couldn't see it.
The problem is, after timeskip ....CoA, sometime black and sometime invisible.

Pre-TS, this...
The invisible haki is invisible because Oda didn't know yet what exactly he wanted to do with Haki.
Post-TS, this...
I think the invisible haki is base of CoA, so the solid black is the stronger type of CoA.

I choose to look at CoA just as it is with the blackening being haki used to harden and the innvisible shield being as such a protective coat around a weopon or limb/body part(though still useful offensively as it counters df's and augments attacks).

Looking preskip I see no one who really needed to use hardening save maybe for Garp but his objective when he struck Marco was to just send him back and so all he needed to do was counter the df powers and the invisible type can do so. All other pple who used haki pre skip mainly used it in conjuntion with weopons and majority of those were swords or steel based so why harden stuff that's already hard Lel. The Gorgon sisters' haki infused hair maybe toobut well Kumadori cld use his hair in a similar fashion though the Boas' were obviously way more more powerful thnx to haki.

Both have scenarios they r useful so I don't support the black haki is an advanced form and anyways palm thrust n out of body haki use makes more sense in the projected shield form, Like with ashigara dokoi n the admirals' shield at MF.
