its a writers resource. To be very vague so that you have stuff to work with. If it surprises the author, it will definitely surprise the audience.
He can change it up to whatever he desires. If its not in the manga, no other facts to back it up, its not finalized, then keep on guessing.
She is their child but is her real mother Sakura? Has Sasuke even come back to the village from the time he left? because right before he left, SasuSaku pairing is still vague. Hell, its still vague even with the tap on the forehead. As far as were concerned, Sasuke thinks of her as his family, not really as a significant other or whatever you wish to call it. So no intercourse transpired.
So is Sasuke really her father? No one is giving info about her child birth.
No dad, no mom. Just "im your mom, Sasuke is your dad." kind of thing.
