He didn't, he said his mangekyo has awakened a straight pattern like his. Both got straight patterns with ems, sasukes is his triangle in the middle(his ms has always looked a bit diff anyhow) and madaras are those thick lines on the outside of his ems. both changed to straight tomoes with ems, and both are the only ones we know of to ever awaken it
