I know what you don't like about the song (you said it already), it's just that I disagree. They sound fine when compared to the japanese music scene as a whole. Are they the best? Nope. Are they crap? Nope. I'm not a fan of the opening either, but simply because someone likes the song I don't doesn't mean they don't listen to a lot of music nor does it imply their ignorance. The sooner you get that the better.
As someone who doesn't like the song that much, I don't plan on defending it, I'll leave that to the plenty people on this forum (if they can be bothered). The point is that the song is decently compositioned and the singer sounds just fine. Wether their style suits you or not is a different story.
the style depends on the person but the vocal technique is one, that's what you don't want to understand. I didn't call anyone ignorant but I said that everyone who doesn't find that this guy isn't a singer doesn't have a musician ear, and that's something only people with good ear can understand.
and the song you didn't like was actually a good funny song, the difference between the singer of that song and AKFG is that the funny singer masters vocal tehnique, and chooses to sing in a funny way. that's his style and that ok and artistic.
while he distors his voice you can hear that he stays calm and that his underlying voice stays the same, and you can hear his awesome tone of voice when he doesn't use distortion, the notes are hit accurately...in short, a good singer. if the AKFG's singer tried to sing this song he would scream his lungs out.
