Hello everyone!

We have a few things to announce:

The downloads of the Anime & Manga are open; this means that a registration to the site is no longer required to access them.
Moderator applications are open as well again! Feel free to apply if you feel like helping out NB.
The registrations are now closed until further notice. The registration button has been removed from the main page and from the NarutoBase Forums so no one is able to register anymore. However, this also affects all of you that are already members of the community. It means that you cannot make an alt account if you get banned. It also means that if you get permanently banned from NB you are not going to have the chance of coming back. So, play by the rules and be respectful. It's not that hard

I mean... Really? No new members can join? That... That kind of sucks. Can anyone, preferably a mod or someone who is aware of why this happened, tell me why this was applied? I can't see why. I can see that the troll alts are getting out of hand, obviously. But people who want to join NB to take part in such awesome things it has to offer, now cannot do that and it kind of upsets me. Knowing how great this site is, now no newbies will be able to register. How long will this be in effect?

If you can't provide a good answer, don't bother posting in here, please.

Don't panic too much yet. He said "until further notice". But "until further notice" can be at any time. But at least it's better than him straight up saying "never". Although, it still doesn't add up. At all...

Hopefully this is temporary. Very, very temporary. I'm not sure why they would do it in the first place but I'm sure they have their reasons... Although, I'd like for them to share those reasons with us. This is probably a bit shocking to most of the users here, I would assume.

Versuvio's saying about circumventing alternate accounts when banned suggests this is exactly why this was in effect.

There are better ways to combat devious miscreants than temporarily shutting down the registration feature, but he is right, that is definitely one way of putting an end to alt accounts...

I will take it as Summer Vacation for NB.
I think they will do some sort of " Cleaning ", I dont know how to explain this.

They are probably closing the site registration due to alts, and they are making a solution as we speak. They are most likely only allowing 1 register per IP address and making some type of system to impliment this. Which means 1 computer houses cannot have 2+ accounts.

TBH I'm glad. I can see why they did this.

Some ALTs are trolls only for the sake of troll. Threads they created usually had nothing whatsoever to do with serious discussion.

That's really not fair to the hundreds of other people that would like to join at this very moment, though. They shouldn't have to suffer for the trolls.

That's why I was saying, in my perspective and experience, there's better ways of combating this, if this was the sole purpose of such.
