Did they mess up the Kakashi filler?

In Shippuden episode 352, Orochimaru tells Kakashi that he likes the look in his eye, but doesn't need a fake sharingan.

But... In episode 40 on the original series, Orochimaru and Kakashi are face to face and he mentions that he's acquired something new and envies his good fortune. Orochimaru did say that he doesn't believe that Kakashi had it last time they met, but that isn't really something that he'd forget about is it? Unless at that point in the flashback during Shippuden he didn't even really know who Kakashi was other than possibly briefly meeting him before obtaining the sharingan and didn't make the connection that Kakashi was that kid from the anbu even though he unmasked him..

Good catch. I can forgive Kishi on this one though. It was awhile back and a lot has happended since then. Also it is a filler we are talking about on a subject the Manga didn't go too much into so I guess some slight oversights were made.

I believe he talk more along the lines of Uchiha. He want an actual Uchiha, not a fake Uchiha(aka Kakashi). He want the Sharingan, but he want an actual Uchiha body as well.

I don't remember that far back, but I think he was talking about Sasuke.
