Like, in the early days of Naruto people were not just regarded as tools but as people, that was like a lesson, later on in the series we learned to regard people as tools without emotions came as an excuse to not have constant wars.

But now KK is proud to be a tool?? Like did the writers backflip on the original message from Naruto? Or does this make sense somehow?

Nah man Koji wants to take down Ishiki himself. I think Amado underestimated him a little bit. Of course he will now go and train the child of prophecy.
