Did the tree call out to Madara?

In this chapter someone talks to Madara telling him to absorb it all and then we get a anel of the shinjus eye. Was this omeone else or the tree? Still kinda confused.

It was the tree. When Obito had the "Original" juubi rampaging around, it talked and told Naruto and the alliance to stop.

Maybe kaguya manipulated madara from the beginning. Like Vamdemon manipulated Oikawa in Digimon 02.
