Did the reinforcements harm Kakashi more than help him?

During the Pain Arc, we all know Kakashi wind up falling in defeat vs Deva Path and Asura Path, and that was with backup from the Akimichi clan, but the question here is..did his reinforcements harm him more than it helped him?

Kakashi uses the raiton kage bunshin on Asura path, as Deva uses shinra tensei to pull Kakashi towards him.

Right after this, the Akimichi clan arrives, appearing to crush the Asura Path. However, while Kakashi states he's happy to save his chakra, he states he had a plan -

There's clearly a raikiri ready to go in his hand, and Kakashi knows there's an interval between his uses of shinra tensei, albeit a very short one.

The question now becomes --- If backup doesn't arrive, and Kakashi's plan goes in to play, does Kakashi get to Deva before the 5 second interval is up? Or does Kakashi fail to get to him in time and Kakashi dies quicker than he did with backup? What do you think?

Another thing I dont get is how could the asura path take 2 raikiri's and still survive and then it takes one punch from sm Naruto and dies.

Asura was stunned, he wouldn't have been able to protect Deva in this situation. The only issue here is if Kakashi can get to Deva before the 5 seconds is up.

the deva path was trapped in chain and kakashi had him right where he needed. He even had enough time to use the raikiri. However, the wounded asura path came out of nowhere and saved deva.

Without asura path, Kakashi would have scored one raikiri on deva. But I don't know if thats enough to kill him.
