[Spoilers] Did Sasuke Deserve to Have Met the Sage of 6 Paths and Get the Power-Up From Him?

Sasuke is following a different path than the previous people who had a transmigration of Indra inside them.
He is surpassing the previous people who had the transmigration of Indra inside them.

Hashirama didnt befriend the bijous. He controlled them and shared them to keep balance among the villages, but
he didnt befriend them or treated them as peers. He basically continued the cycle of hatred by attempting to kill Madara
in their battle and believing he had killed him. Madara however cheated death.
Madara continued the cycle of hatred as well and even tryed to gain Kaguya's and Hagoromo's power and wanted to unleash
the infinite Tsukuyomi.

Naruto managed to befriend the bijou.
Hashirama didnt manage to do that.
Sasuke managed to follow a different path than
Madara, who continued the cycle of hatred.
Sasuke will cooporate with Naruto.

Naruto and Sasuke both deserve their power ups for different reasons.
Even though the sage prefers the route of friendship and love that Ashura chose, over the lonely path that Indra followed, that was about power, that doesnt have to mean that he shouldnt give Indra anything.
Besides, we dont know what Sasuke said for sure. Maybe he said something along the lines of wanting to protect friendship as well.

Either way, Sasuke deserves to get something too.

No Sasuke has killed innocent people and also tried to kill his former comrades. He's been a selfish character for most of his life and only started thinking of others recently. Inb4 butthurt Uchihatards make excuses for him. He should have stayed evil and deranged. This last minie revert to the good side is nothing but poor writing. Kishi didn't know where he was going with this character for a long time and it showed.

Like the Sage said, Indra got the mind of the Juubi and Ashura the Body of the Juubi.

Everyone is bashing on Naruto or Sasuke, but they need this power to stop Madara. I think Sasuke will unlock the Ultimate Susanoo just as Indra did, and Naruto will unlock the Kyuubi Chakra Cloak just as Ashura did when they showed the two of them battle in the previous chapter.

If this is the case, it was never necessary for Sasuke to befriend all of the Bijuu, as he will not get a powerup from the Bijuu, but he will rather have his occular power increased.

Hagoromo has been satisfied with Sasukes answer. I guess, especially Sasuke deserves it, precisely because he made mistakes in the past. He knows more than anyone else hatred and anger. Sasuke is incommunicative, but if he really wants to fight for his comrades, the meaning behind that intention has to be really strong.

On chapter 671, page 15 of the manga, the Sage said that the problems happened because he left everything to Ashura and didn't pay enough attention to Indra.

So what the Sage is basically saying is that if he only gave Naruto the power-up then Sasuke would get jealous and throw a bi+ch fit like Indra did and start a war. So really, the Sage didn't want to give Sasuke the power-up. The Sage only wanted to please the crybaby Sasuke/Indra.

I don't think Sasuke deserves to have an actual power-up from the sage. Sasuke should have gotten his powerup from a different source (maybe Kabuto). Naruto is the one who befriended all the Bijuu and received their chakra so only he deserves the power-up from the Sage. If Sasuke got the power-up too, then what was the point of Naruto getting the chakra of all the bijuu?

Sasuke didn't deserve it, but it is not a matter of deserving it or not. It is a matter of reaching a way to end the cycle of hatred, so independent of this event being deserved or not, it was necessary.

He deserves it, and I can tell you why. There is no directly wrong or right way to bring fourth peace. Hagoromo have shown that himself, he just said which path he preferred himself. Madara isn't directly evil, he is just doing it the way he believe in and as long as you do what you believe in you are doing the right thing in some form. Sasuke may have been and may be focusing on revenge, but his wants peace and order more than anything.

No, the sage wanted to make peace and wanted to stop the fighting between the reincarnations as he was only giving the power to Ashura what are you reading how could you miss that? Indra's backstory was not revealed to us so we can only guess/assume that hurt feelings lead Indra to think he deserved the whole pie instead of Ashura all because Daddy dropped the ball and only gave inheritance to one instead of both.

Obviously this has been going on for a long time now and it appears to be the first time Hago is giving Indra's reincarnation anything at all.
