[Spoilers] Did Sasuke Deserve to Have Met the Sage of 6 Paths and Get the Power-Up From Him?

On chapter 671, page 15 of the manga, the Sage said that the problems happened because he left everything to Ashura and didn't pay enough attention to Indra.

So what the Sage is basically saying is that if he only gave Naruto the power-up then Sasuke would get jealous and throw a bi+ch fit like Indra did and start a war. So really, the Sage didn't want to give Sasuke the power-up. The Sage only wanted to please the crybaby Sasuke/Indra.

I don't think Sasuke deserves to have an actual power-up from the sage. Sasuke should have gotten his powerup from a different source (maybe Kabuto). Naruto is the one who befriended all the Bijuu and received their chakra so only he deserves the power-up from the Sage. If Sasuke got the power-up too, then what was the point of Naruto getting the chakra of all the bijuu?

Sasuke has pretty much only done selfish things in the entire series, not giving a damn about anyone, so I wouldn't say he deserves a power-up. But he's Indra's reincarnation, so it might be neccesary to stop the cycle.

Well I think sasuke should get power up. Naruto alone with the sage power isn't enough to fight madara.
Naruto lacking of sharingan/Rinnengan.
With sasuke receiving sage power he definitely will awaken Rinnengan with the 3 rd eyes on head.

Madara now as s06p said having both Indra and ashura power.

It's impossible for naruto alone with 9 tail and ashura soul to beat madara. He need sasuke/Indra power as well to bring out full potential so6p power.

Off subject, when the two of them are about to get their respective power- ups did anyone else see how Sasuke goes faster for it like he can't help himself from his urget? It's not a question of whether he deserves it or not. It is a matter of need of everyone to put an end to the battle. It's Naruto and Sasuke everyone needs to put an end to the Hatred and war between Ashura and Indra. Sasuke may not deserve it, but he needs to have that power to satisfy the Ashura-Indra stuff.

Sasuke is following a different path than the previous people who had a transmigration of Indra inside them.
He is surpassing the previous people who had the transmigration of Indra inside them.

Hashirama didnt befriend the bijous. He controlled them and shared them to keep balance among the villages, but
he didnt befriend them or treated them as peers. He basically continued the cycle of hatred by attempting to kill Madara
in their battle and believing he had killed him. Madara however cheated death.
Madara continued the cycle of hatred as well and even tryed to gain Kaguya's and Hagoromo's power and wanted to unleash
the infinite Tsukuyomi.

Naruto managed to befriend the bijou.
Hashirama didnt manage to do that.
Sasuke managed to follow a different path than
Madara, who continued the cycle of hatred.
Sasuke will cooporate with Naruto.

Naruto and Sasuke both deserve their power ups for different reasons.
Even though the sage prefers the route of friendship and love that Ashura chose, over the lonely path that Indra followed, that was about power, that doesnt have to mean that he shouldnt give Indra anything.
Besides, we dont know what Sasuke said for sure. Maybe he said something along the lines of wanting to protect friendship as well.

Either way, Sasuke deserves to get something too.
