If he could have released Deidara from capture he would have. Muu couldn't help without dust release.

Or he was preoccupied with Edos stronger than he was and just didn't care. I know Mu couldn't use Dust Release but he still could have been a great distraction, plus he could still use Earth, Wind, and Fire Style jutsu. That still leaves Chiyo with Skillful Achievement with a Human Body and Kimimaro with his Kekkei Genkai.

He didn't lose. Sasuke is alive. Sasuke wasn't going for the kill and so wasen't Kabuto end of story.

Anyway, Kabuto has more chakra than Sasuke due to his stolen abilities and Sage Mode. If Sasuke spams Amataerasu he will run out of chakra.

Well,seeing as Sasuke knows of and was able to use that body shedding technique I can guess that Sasuke knows the weaknesses of that technique and everything else about it and set a trap for Kabuto.

He has two genjutsu that can nullify EMS, and is fast enough to dodge all of sasukes attacks, and strong enough to overwhelm him.

about youre comment of unless they were at kage level, last time i checked sasuke took on all the kage with just plain mangekyo sharingan he didnt evenfully recover from his fight with itachi andi think he held his own pretty darn good( and yes i know tobi had to rescue him but remember he didnt have EMS so susanoo, amaterasu and all his other jutsus were causing himto go blind and lose all his chakra so yeah tobi "rescuing" him is understandable given the circumstances plus it was 5 vs 1. im Pretty sure you give sasuke EMS and he stands a decent chance of coming out on top.

and about itachi telling himto hold back to protect his ego is bs, he told him that because he knew that sasuke could him and itachi couldnt let that happen their goal was to capture not kill. also all the attackes that kabuto was doing to sasuke and he was getting owned all that happened while kabuto was under izanami, none of it was real.
