Maybe, but that still doesnt explain trebols comment "Logia? That doesnt mean anything to me." Which can be taken two ways, the first is that he is questioning why luffy called him a logia and the second sentence is saying the haki doesnt mean anything to him. The second way to take it is that he simply doesnt know what luffy is talking about. In both cases he is suggesting he isnt a logia.

Because not all DFs have powers that would be able to affect the surroundings. For example, what would Fujitora's DF turn the surroundings into?

An area of high or low gravity depending on his(the authors) choice. All I'm trying to say is we don't know how any other Logia or Paramecia will affect their surroundings during an awakening because we only have one to base our information off of and that one did in fact affect the entire area around the user.

Clearly it would be a wider area of effect and constant so he could focus entirely on fighting not using his DF. I'm not Oda I'm just ballparking ideas, it could be something else entirely.
