Also boruto squad had 3 legit reasons for being chosen.

1. By far the closest to the scene of the attack.
2. Way more powerful than genin. they are at least chunin level, probably jonin.
3. They would be able to work best with konohamaru if he is found, being the best teammates for him, since they know his moves.
