Did Orochimaru ever find out about the Nagato's Rinnegan?

Since Orochimaru was still homies with Jiraiya back when Jiraiya trained Nagato, did Orochimaru ever find out more about the Rinnegan user? Why did Orochimaru never try to get the Rinnegan or Nagato's body? I would have thought Orochimaru would turn over every stone on earth to try to confirm whether it still exists or not.

Or was the Rinnegan something kishi didn't come up with until Part 2?

both, orochimaru most likely knew about the rennigan, for someone who wanted to learn about all jutsu, who would better be of great guidance ? answer is S06P he must have encountered the rennigan during the research

Lastly i don't think orochimaru tried to get the rennigan, he knew Pein of akatsuki has the rennigan but he never tried to get due to difference in power, i don't think he was aware that nagato had the rennigan as a kid or am i wrong?

Look at it this way he knew who tobi was and is there for he knew who was calling the shots so yeah he knew who had rinnigan he also knew tht u had to have senju DNA to use it he seen what it did to basically all his test subjects only ones tht survived was Yamato and Danzo
Uchia DNA can help u aquire it but he prob knew how Long it took madara to attain it so he was lik nah id rather just hav sharigan and eventually ill get it cuz he wasn't ****ing with the senju DNA cuz it ****su up
