[Question] Did Oda really say that a fight between the monster trio would end in a draw?

They are all equal in strength in a friendly battle, but just look at this: Sanji is as good at fighting with knives as most top-swordsmen in the world. Zoro has fought on equal grounds with Sanji without his swords. Luffy is stronger than both of them but two stupid for that to matter.

sometimes i think zoro can defeat luffy as zoro can cut good and is too fast
Yeah I always thought that Zoro was on par with luffy or atleast very close but if sanji is on their level then the Strawhat crew is pretty good for a rookie crew :3 espically since it will be gaining stronger characters in the future too

He never said anything like that and Sanji is currently a level below Zoro and Luffy.
I wouldn't go that far. The gap between Luffy and Zoro may be smaller than Zoro and Sanji, but I don't see Oda changing the scale that much. Zoro has been fighting kids while Sanji has been beaten up by adults, so it appears that Sanji is far inferior to Zoro. Now that Zoro has his first real challenge since the timeskip, he's getting his struggle as well.

It's not just Sanji, don't forgot that Fujitora beat the shit out of Zoro.

Zoro isn't struggling at all. He's not even serious to began with. Only reason that has been dragging this battle is that Zoro is yet to figure out his weakness. It is only matter of time.

That's actually what's causing the struggle. Struggle is anything that makes it hard to defeat an opponent, and that's been Pica's evasiveness and the nature of Pica's power. That's part of Pica's overall strength as well. Because of that, though Zoro outclasses Pica in pure skill and offensive power, Zoro is struggling at the moment. And to say Zoro isn't serious, IMO, is inaccurate. Just because he isn't putting 100% of his power into every attack doesn't mean he isn't serious. He's serious right now because he's trying his hardest to figure out how to get around Pica's power, which requires more critical thinking rather than brute force, so his brute force is being curbed at the moment, making it easy to misconceive that he isn't being serious. Zoro has no reason to play around with Pica, if it would be easy for him to get around his powers and strike the blows to defeat him, he would have done so by now. The fact that he hasn't means difficulty.

And that's part of my point. The reason people have been thinking Zoro is so far ahead of Sanji is because Zoro was cakewalking, but Sanji was getting his ass kicked. That was only because Zoro's opponents were several leagues below Sanji's. When Zoro got into a clash with Fujitora, someone in the same general league as Fujitora, he got the same treatment as Sanji. If Fujitora was as ruthless as Doflamingo, Zoro would have been just as injured as Sanji was.

I admit that dragging the battle to figure out the opponents weakness should be considered as difficulty but my point is that he isn't physically struggling against Pica so the actual gap in their strength doesn't change just because the it takes more time to beat him. I guess we are on the same boat regarding this topic.

It's not just Sanji's battles, even the feats of those guys puts them on different tables. I am tired of repeating these arguments in every Sanji and Zoro threads. Lets agree to disagree bro. For some reason I am not feeling well.Zzz

Physically he isn't and probably won't struggle lol. The only time I've seen Zoro struggle was against Kuma when he took all of luffy's pain and fatigue + his own. Zoro has the most durability and endurance in the Strawhat crew imo. Whenever they're fighting the last boss in every arc luffy is pushed to the limit whilst sanji & zoro beat their opponents without being pushed too far tbh

It doesn't change anything as Luffy's opponents has always been far above that of Zoro as well as Sanji.
