Did Obito's bitterness towards Kirigakure cause the bloodline purges?

Did Rin's death have something to do with the bloodline purges?

I mean, Kirigakure basically screwed Rin over in an attempt to take down Konohagakure, by making her the jinchuuriki of the Sanbi.

Coincidentally enough, Obito was effectively in control of Kirigakure, as he had Yagura, the Mizukage as well as the jinchuuriki of the Sanbi under his genjutsu after which the bloodline purges began.

I think there's definitely a connection between the two. In his rage, he may have wanted them to suffer the way he did by turning Kirigakure into a war zone and tearing families apart.

I'm so confused on the timeline here...At this time, Obito couldn't have possibly controlled Yagura, since he was so young, meaning that he likely hadn't met him yet. We also know that Yagura was also the Jin of the Sanbi, so it's pretty obvious that it all happened after Rin's death.

But still the Kiri nins called it the Bloody Mist, which was only the case when Yagura was controlling it? O___O

My guess is that Madara was the one who originally controlled the mizukage and created 'the bloody mist' then after Madara died Obito took over.

I think it's the way around. I don't see how Obito could have known the truth concerning Rin other than when he was controlling Yagura. It's not as if he was present with Kakashi and Rin when it happened. I think it's when he controlled Yagura, that he wanted to learn the truth, which happened

The village started getting called "The Bloody Mist" the moment Yagura took over.
Obito's influence on Yagura didn't change a thing except for the fact that everything was now under HIS(Obito's) control.

Once again, Kishimoto has absolutely no idea what he's doing...

Where was this stated? It was called "The Bloody Mist" due to academy students killing each other in order to graduate, not the bloodline purges that started under Yagura's (Obito's) reign as Mizukage.
