did obito really use rinne tensei?

we can c obito's hair turned white ..pretty much similar to what happened with nagato....does it mean he already used rinnei tensei?
i know madara said it was a failure ..but still we can't believe whatever he says ..was it zetsu or smthin??
any ideas why his hair turned white...

For a brief second, Madara's face was without cracks, I think it got cancelled before his soul came back by Izanagi..

First the person has to die and then the soul comes back, Obito used his energy but didn't die so the soul didn't come back

although his energy was drained

He used rinne tensei, which is shown by how Madara's skin got progressively clearer (without scratch marks on his face) as the panels continued. When he was struck down, Madara's status returned to normal.

To use the revival jutsu you need to use massive ammounts of chakra that pretty much guarantee your death and sap your entire reserves. Obito did use the technique but it didn't finish all the way thanks to Minato. This is why Madara's cracks vanished for a moment, but then returned.

I think his Rinne Tensei was nearly done until Minato stopped his handseals. Or like others think he may have used Izanagi to twist reality.
