Feels wrong to say that Obito redeemed himself because he helped in the Kaguya fight, and yea his contribution saved the world. But we talk about the same guy who is responsible for most of the deaths in Naruto directly and indirectly and is the guy who caused most disasters and atrocities in the shinobi world.

Clearly if you analyse it Obito's 1 right action wipes out all his past actions, cause helping saving the world when you are the reason it needs to be saved doesn't look too good for you.

Look for example at Nagato.Despite the fact that he used the outer path to revive the leaf ninjas he killed that day,he still considered himself trash because of the suffering he caused most of his life, and he was right. He should be considered a villain. Now with Obito double the suffering. He also should be remembered as one of the greatest villain in the world, not a hero.

In his own eyes, sacrificing was the only thing he could do. He died to make up for what he did. Holding hatred against a man who has not only changed his ways and attempted to fix his errors, but is also dead, is a waste of time.

He shouldn't be treated as a hero or villain but as a cautionary tale about what hatred and war could do to people.

No. Even helping to stop the end of the world doesn't make up for the tens of thousands he had a personal hand in killing.

Besides, it was his actions that put the world in jeopardy in the first place.

Ye that's what I was thinking he caused too much suffering for him to become something else other than a villain.

Well in Obito's case is about what loving and losing the one you love can do to people. But yea I guess you can say that too:)

It was Madara's hatred for the world due to war that led to the events in Obito's life.

He didn't redeem himself and no one in NV thinks so.

They just acknowledge his redemption

I think obito knew himself that there was no undoing what he did. He just tried to cut the losses by sacrificing himself for the cause

If he had the ability to resurrect all the lives he took and used it then we could consider such a thing but until then..... he tried his best.

He killed Neji and lots of other brave shinobi. How do you come back from that?

He didn't feel redeemed, none of the Uchiha's were trying to be noble or pure.
