Did Obito prove to be too dangerous just for Minato to handle? Let say, that Minato survived that night and it was Naruto who died.

Would Minato be capable of stopping Obito's plans?

Would that stop Obito, Madara and other things that happened?

There were many situations that forced minato's hand.

Obito himself was cakewalk as minato showed, but kurama, a newborn baby, and a near death wife made it much more difficult.

Minato stamps Obito at this point. He had the whole village and family to protect at that time.

Minato roughly stomped that 1vs 1 fight, which is why Obito had to retreat. Yes Minato would have been capable of stopping but he had to take care of his family.

No, Minato wouldn't be able to stop Obito, though he would pose some difficulties and hindrances in Obito's way. And especially if Minato marked Obito and Obito didn't remove it somehow, then Obito would be in a serious disadvantage. Though that night, Obito only lost the fight because he was dumbed down to be defeated.

Nah, Minato handled his business as a Hokage, husband and father that night.

> he quickly picked up on Obito intangibility tech.

> released Obitos hold on the 9tails.

Minato with no intel stomped Obito.
Obito had balls, but his Master was still out of his league . It was the Kyuubi that was too much to handle for him.

Minato already stomped

His newly born kid and pregnant weak wife made things difficult.

Except JJ Obi to, Minato solos all forms of Obito

A better question is, how was Minato able to hit Obito a second time when he hairashin to him and stabbed him when he removed the kyuubi seal?

He should've just phased thru him.

you people act like minato defeating obito wasnt going to happen.

If obito won at first naruto would be dead and there wouldnt be a naruto

kishi showed w/o PNJ on minato side he would lose to obito

If it was simply a 1v1 and thats that then Minato would low-diff

If it was an unrestricted 1v1, Minato would have been trapped in Kamui the first time.

But of course, plot necessitated that Obito gloat, and warp at a fraction of the speed possible. Speed, Minato admitted, that would win Obito the battle if he was touched once more.

Minato was on par with Obito. That moment when he teleported to his kunai to Rasengan Obito could have been prevented easily. Obito should have known that he would teleport.

In that exact moment? Zetsu and kid Obito are premature and young. Minato is definitely in his prime and defeats him there and then every time. Don't get me wrong, it's super impressive as Obito slaughtered a whole troop of Mist ninja effortlessly.

Obito over the course of the series though? Gaining full Kamui mastery, the Gedo Mazu, the Six Paths, the Rinnegan- personally I believe Minato doesn't cut it further on into the plot.
