[Discussion] Did Nozarashi live up to your expectations?

Did it disappoint you ? Is it what you expected ?IDK, I know that Nozarashi is a perfect fit for Squad 11's "melee zanpakuto" rule but weren't any of you guys/girls expecting more? Especially considering all the anticipation and hype directed towards the abilities of Zaraaki's zanpakuto.

I will admit that Nozarashi's axe form and its release command are cool but it's abilities are lackluster.

And what abilities are you talking about? What did you see that all of us missed? We didn't see shit, you didn't see shit.

You can't be dissapointed when all you know is the release command and a blown up meteor. We don't know what else he can do with it since it's hasn't been shown yet. Am I dissapointed? Hell no, it looked awesome and I can't wait to see more.

Alright so first im going to need you to turn it down a notch, no one is trying to insult Nozarashi or Kenpachi all im saying is that I was expecting Nozarashi to do more than enhance Kenpachi's cutting ability (that's it's ability I think).

Yes I can be disappointed with Nozarashi and I won't rephrase what I said because im speaking for me not all of you and to me Nozarashi seemed uninspired otherwise known as lackluster.

I was slightly disappointed with the concept of a meteor because at this point a meteor is a pretty cliche' shounen thing.

But the actual feat of Kenpachi cutting through the meteor with his Nozarashi was pretty badass and well-drawn and it was frankly one of the best Bleach chapters in recent memory.

Uninspired? Compared to what? Who else is swinging a huge axe in Bleach verse? The last one was Baraggan and that was quite cool aswel.

Oh and.. considering the word "sarcasm" is right there under my avatar it's safe to assume not everything I say is serious and I'm just having a bit of fun here.

Besides that Kenpachi destroyed a meteor with it, we have absolutely no clue to what its true abilities are.
So I can't judge besides that its destructive capabilities are higher, wich is the case with most shikai I'd think.

LOL sorry about that I tend not to pay any attention to what is under or apart of anyone's avatar and I approach any post seriously .

Until I see more abilities from Nozarashi all I can assume is that it enhances Kenpachi's cutting ability considering how it cut a meteorite apart, and while that in itself is powerful I want more. I'm worried that with Kenpachi in the messed up condition that he is in we won't see anymore fights out of him nor any expansion on Nozarashi's abilities if it has anymore to offer.

I dont believe I'm talking out of my ass because I have issues with Nozarashi , Kenpachi called it's release , it transformed , and it broke a meteorite . Given squad 11's emphasis on Melee weapons and Kenpachi's own fighting style thats seems pretty consistent and i honestly don't see the reason to believe it has any other abilities besides enhanced cutting. Kenpachi,'s whole shtick is cutting things into pieces and Nozarashi has accomplished that.


And I meant uninspired as in it's just another oversized weapon that can send you flying even if it doesn't cut you.

What was I expecting? Simply something more than I giant axe that lets you make even stronger cuts. It's not about impressing me I wanted to be surprised and Nozarashi hasn't done that yet.

You guys say that I cant be disappointed because Nozarashi has not shown all of its abilities, I think Nozarashi only enhances Kenpachi's cutting ability and I really don't think there is anything else to it, that is why I'm disappointed.

Hmm fair enough.

If you couple your answer with the possiblity that the release command "drink" means it kind of drinks Kenpachi's reiatsu and thus increases his cutting ability it's quite plausible - I myself however am holding out for a bit more than that.

You might just be correct , that would make sense and in my opinion it would make Nozarashi better. I would shut up about it then.

Nozarashi is the best Zanpakuto in my opinion.
