Did Naruto beat pain ?

First off read 419 to 440 because Im a lazy **** and will only paraphrase what I've come to understand.

im making this thread to clearify that sage naruto was still on par with mangekyou sasuke kage summit arc

Pain is way stronger than naruto and saskue before the kage meet, he's the only one to have shown all the abilities of the rinnegan and has abundance of charka due to his heritage. but did Naruto really defeat him... well on his own at least. The ones' (plural) that did defeat pain are the kohoha elites (excluding anbu ), jiraiyas' code which was later solved by kakashi in exchange for his life, 9T , and Fourth hokage.

Entering the battle with Naruto pain had exhausted a good amount of charka that he was on CD, he then later could not finish sealing the 9T, and in the end was talked no jutsu.

Edo nagato could have easily recked 9t and 8t but for further reference for the solo king itachi, he stopped him in one chapter.

Winner is not always decided by power alone. You need to take their tactics and abilities into consideration.

But even you know that in terms of tactics Sasuke is way better than Naruto. Naruto had cooperation with Ma-Pa including intel to take on pain. If Ma-Pa never encountered with Jiraiya prior to and if the slug never gave naruto intel on the key pain (hell path), then naruto wouldn't of been able to pass against three bodies like Jiraiya. Mind you his sagemode was still not complete at the time.

He didn't summon them. Ma did.

Yeah the reverse summoning jutsu I know, but naruto's sage chakra is needed for that transaction.

I agree with you completely, but the info was given to him on the go during the battle and he came up with brilliant tactics based on them, on top of that he didn't receive the info all at once otherwise I am sure he would have come up with a more elaborate strategy. Regarding Naruto's and Sasuke's tactics, I'd say both are equal in that section, while Naruto is bit dumb when it comes to grasping things in normal life, he's proven more than capable to match Sasuke in strategy when it comes to battle tactics and has been acknowledged for the same.

I know that, but he isn't summoning that many toads on his own. That is what I meant.
