I just made a post about this too, I think he only killed the one holding zabuza's sword. Because when suigetsu has his flashback about the 7 swordsmen he named zabuza as the blade holder not him.. So the rest must have at least survived that fight and died elsewhere.

That statement can't prove that he didn't kill all of them

One of them was killed by Kisame. So, obviously he did not kill all. If he didn't manage to kill the fat one then he definitely couldn't stop Mangetsu.

I think is obvious he did, I mean we all know they had no way out when they encountered the SS and they could have easily take on the three of them without letting them escape but with the 8 gates opening Might Gai definitely took most of them out and gave them the change to escape.

The rest were probably slaughtered though and I have a feeling the only reason Fuguki didn't die was because he managed to escape somehow.

Dai's 8G must be <<<<<<<< Gai's considering how quickly Gai would have stomped them.

He might have killed some of them, But we know that at least two of them survived. The guy with Samehada got killed by Kisame later, and Raiga must have survived, at least in the Anime
