Debatable. Her large scale suitons can make Gaara's sand heavier thus more easy to dodge, she can also use lava to solidify or acid to melt it.

That thread has countless flaws. A lot of the "feats" of speed and power remarked upon were against an exhausted MS Sasuke and a Edo Madara who wasn't even trying.

OT: She did, but only because Kiri has shown any shinobi more deserving of the title. She's certainly the weakest by a country mile, and would've lost against even MS Sasuke had he not been completely physically exhausted.



Current Kakashi still has blistering foot speed, Shikamaru-level intellect, sense of smell surpassing Kiba, vast array of techniques, prodigious battle instincts and now large chakra reserves.

He's not the strongest, but he's far from the weakest.

They still counts as feat as Prime MS Sasuke and Edo Madara[PS and mokuton restricted] are greater than all of the kage's individually[MS sasuke Vs Gaara is close and sasuke loses to him in desert]
Both of them are still faster than most of the shinobi.Also we cannot ignore[honestly we never ignore] feats of Sasuke against Itachi since he was not trying to kill him and was sick

I couldn't care less about elaborate, pointless battles, given that he has no defense against Genjutsu alone. So, there is no logic to be had here.

And, by the way, who's the majority? Your debating club? All the more reason not to trust the majority.

Mei is pretty powerful, when she completed the most chunnin exams I'm sure her comrade underestimated her and tried to attack her and burned alive. She may not have shined one on one but she was able to take Sasuke and she was able to use water technique at a massive scale without a source .

If Mei, somebody with 2 KG, could become the leader of a village with this mind set, she probably did something right. Strength is probably part of it, but we shouldn't assume it's everything. She's strong enough to be a competent ninja, so that's more than likely good enough. To better understand the process, we can assume that it's at least somewhat close to the way Konoha picks the Hokage:
