Did Madara Uchiha use Izanagi??

No idea if this has any implementation into the manga, but in Naruto Generations (the video game), there's a cutscene where Madara uses Izanagi.

I dunno, thought I'd just mention it.

I might as well ask a question. Do you think an uchiha would need more than one eye to use Izanagi?

Obito knew about it, so Madara must have taught him, but Obitos eye was also special, and Madara must have known. I can only think Madara taught him how to use Izanagi in case he made a mistake, so when he went up against Minato and Konoha he had another eye, probably Madaras own eye, but that would need him to learn how to implant it as well, since I don't think it can be done while your blind.. Can't be that easy, maybe for Madara it's an exception, but still. We also saw Obito implant later so he must have learned. And of course we saw he had another eye hidden under the mask against Konan, but what would his reason to hide his other eye be, if it was one without special abilities?

Bold question - Only if the Uchiha doesn't already possess Izanagi within his original eyes and also if he doesn't have Senju DNA. Otherwise Izanagi is useless and ineffective if the user does not have Senju DNA.

Yes, Madara must have taught Obito surgical skills which obviously helped him alot during his time later when Madara died. When Obito implanted the Rinnegan after losing his eyesight in the eye that casted Izanagi. He also removed his arm and implanted another one.

All nice and dandy except izanagi only reverses damage that is caused after the jutsu is activated.

Logic has a point. Madara could've had another sharingan with him that had Izanagi. Remember that sharingan container that Itachi had in his fight against Sasuke? And obviously, the full fight between Madara and Hashirama is not shown which means that anything could've happened between an interval. Like Logic implied "He manages to escape from Hashirama and hide.
Transplants the Sharingan, uses Izanagi to keep him alive."
