Correct me if I am wrong, but Obito and Madara planned for Madara to get revived with the Rinne Tensei with the eyes Madara gave to Nagato.

To my understanding Madara died a really, really old man who needed Gedo Mazo life-support to continue living. Also I'm under the impression that the Rinne Tensei revives people the way they died, age and all. Madara also stated he wanted to become the Juubi's Jinchuriki and cast his Tsukuyomi on the moon.

The problem for me starts there. Theoretically, Madara would still be that old man still in need of Gedo Mazo life-support or else he'd die again on revival. And seeing as the Gedo Mazo is the Juubi's body, it won't be available to support the decrepit Madara.

Idk, I think I have too much time to think of these things.

I think the more chakra the user has, the better the health/appearance.

This sounds like the most reasonable answer. I think that's why Obito would end up dying using Rinne Tensei on Madara, he would die trying to revive him to a powerful enough state for him to handle becoming the 10 Tail Jin

thats why they used edo to revive madara instead of rinne tensei . I think madara didnt had full info on rinne tensei. He not a kind of person who can revive someone test the tech

When he gets revived he'd become the Juubi's Jinchuriki. All that chakra could make anyone powerful. Not to mention that he would have the EMS & the rinnegan (Idk about that since he gave it to nagato)

If I were to guess, maybe Rinne Tensei's power is proportionate to the amount of life force you give up. Like you could revive someone to the state to before they died and still live but end up old, or revive someone better than they were but then die

Does anyone else realize that the "Rinne Tensei can revive someone whatever age they want" argument doesn't work?

Here's why: Let's say Obito revives a younger Madara... Madara awakened the Rinnegan shortly before his death, so a younger Madara would not be able to use the Rinnegan. So assuming Rinne Tensei can revive a younger Madara, then the best revived Madara can be is EMS + mokuton... which is still really strong but losing the Rinnegan is a huge power dip...
