Izuna wanted Madara to protect the clan, but Madara abandoned the clan. He also stated the only thing that matters is power, not ideals.

Sasuke on the other hand cared for Itachi's ideals, especially after their reunion. So Madara didn't care about anyone's opinions but his own.

Naw, the clan abandoned his ferocious way of thinking, not the other way around. They wanted peace and didn't want Madara to fudge that up for them. He was forced to leave the village, he didn't abandon them. Things like his brother's feelings are what kept him going, as reaching a perfect state both mentally and physically was his ultimate goal.

He cared more about Izuma as a person and propably they disagreed in some points, as was mentioned they had opposite personalities. So it's not like Madara was missionary of Izuma's ideals, but he loved him.

But at part two, when he was planning world domination, this was irrelevant.

didn't you ever read Madara's statement when Hashirama first saw his EMS?

Madara had might as well left them anyway, since they decided they knew better than him and stayed when he tried to warn them what was going to happen to them down the road.
