Did Madara and Obito's plan fail before it started?

I know I will get blasted for asking this question but **** it.
first off, Madara did not want to be awaken in his current state even if he is much stronger being an edo. He questioned obito about it.
Then, he questioned Obito's haste about the whole plan and about not being able to capture the 8-9 tail beast and now, Obito is questioning himself about giving too much consciousness to the Juubi.

A little bit of a disagreement and a minor oversight isn't going to do much to make his plan fail.

Regardless of the alignment of the stars...the Alliance is going to have to fight with all their strength to make such a threatening plan fail in its latter stages.
