I'm a little confused about this. Okay I was reading some old chapters because I missed one of my favs (Obito) and I noticed the floating rocks and all.

I thought it was because of the Gedo Mazou but when Madara came the rocks were not floating anymore. That's where I was like whaaat. So if we look back the rocks were floating when they were battling Kamui basically while the Gedo Mazou was transforming. When Madara appeared the Gedo Mazou was still transforming.

So it's either:

A. Madara's presence balanced the gravitation field

B. When team battled Kamui the fight was so slow that the rocks appeared to be floating when they were falling in slow motion similar to Minato vs Obito slow motion battle.

C. The Gedo Mazou's screams were the cause of it.

I think it's either A or B. I agree more with A than B because Madara is bad@ss.

It could be B because the fight without dialogue would have been quicker than it seemed, so in the actual fight without the dialogue scenes they are just fighting so fast that the surrounding objects are in slow motion and the fight had to be short because it wouldn't have taken Madara long to get to their battlefield. After they were done battling Kamui the floating rocks seemed to have all fallen.

It can be C though I don't know if the Gedo Mazou was constantly screaming. So blame it on its "mouth"

A doesn't make sense. If anything it was C, if not an error.

like I said man it's too much work man. Looking at those scans again I have a new hypothesis: the rocks are ascending into space.

I think that scene is to intense and even a rock is stop from falling down because of scared plus Madara aura of greatness

or will I called it as special effect

other than that, its just a plot because no theory to describe it.

It was the Gedo Mazo's chakra being released. (like when Goku becomes super saiyan for the first time). Also, Hashirama caused pieces of the floor and walls to peel off when he released his chakra.
