Messi was given to it by Blatter, there were many players already mentioned that deserved it more. Funny thing is I knew he was gonna waste that Free Kick at the last minute, he was selfish and thought only for himself there. The difference between Diego Maradonna and Messi still stands. Scoring on low quality teams in the group stage and failing to step up doesn't merit his award. Still, he had a great tournament. Congrats to him for making the final.

I don't think you watched the same match, because he was shut down alot. Hummels and boateng handled him pretty well. Mascherano was way better than Messi, but Blatter only has eyes to one player.
