Did Kurama think Tobi was Madara or does know his true identity

Who knows? It could be Izuna Uchiha. Kurama always react when he sees the sharingan. I bet he told Kurama he was Madara. Kurama then freaking lost it.

Kurama knows the feel of both tobi's and madara's chakra. Why wouldn't he tell naruto that the masked man in front of him isn't madara. I'm STRONGLY leaning towards the body splitting tech. theory.

That was a slightly different scenario. In the OP's case, Kurama just saw the Sharingan and was put under a Genjutsu. He could have been mislead by the Sharingan. In the case you point out though, Madara was already in possession of a summon contract that only he had with Kurama. If Kurama felt the urge of a summon, and only one person in history could do that, then naturally he would know exactly who's chakra is reaching for him.

If he did he would have said something when ever naruto saw tobi. Like he did when they saw madara. So he can only tell that tobi is not madara by his chakra

dont knoww whether Kurama knows abt tobi's true identity but he knew that he wasn't Madaraa cuzz this is how Kurama reacted when he saw The real Madara xd
