After the Liger Bomb, Sasuke quit fighting and just started camping his total defense. If Susanno wasn't so insanely OP, the Gokage would've killed Sauce.
Setting up a defense isn't quitting, & bold, you know your side is lacking when you have to power down Sasuke. So much for getting jobbed.

A real free power up is the Uzumaki's large stamina and chakra reserves that they're born with. Sasuke went through alot to gain the Mangekyo.

With the laundry list of abilities the standard Sharingan has and the extra abilities the Mangekyou grants. Sasuke wasn't at an ability or power disadvantage. The Gokage were just better fighters than he was.
Is adult Sasuke better than the current Gokage (without PS of course)? Given the Gokage's performance against Kinshiki, I imagine each one of them could likely hold their own. Just like Sasuke did one on one with Kinshiki.
So you're not going to mention how he was vastly outnumbered? No one even landed a single hit on him. He was harmed by his own power more than theirs. The Mangekyo's side effects are too extreme.
