Did kishi imply hiyuga are a forgettable clan?!?!?

if we a further analyse this we can see that hiyuga clan heiress dont even know teh rotation and most talented hiyuga clan member deji was used as a death fodder by kishi...

I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the Hyuga clan but Kishi is the king of NV, he could’ve given Boruto literally anything he wanted him to have or he could’ve given him nothing. Point is, I don’t think Kishi “forgot” to give Boruto the Byakugan but certainly said give him something new. The Byakugan is shit until it evolves into the Tenseigan.

Yes. The manga clearly implies them to be a forgettable clan. Personally I never found them interesting. They may have prevented their own destruction unlike the Uchiha but they are too plain and boring.

Honestly, every single thing they've done in the manga seems extremely inefficient to me.

If you can hit someone 64 times in a row, then you could simply stab them in the heart with a Kunai the first time.

If you need to shut down someone's chakra, there are Sealing Jutsu with greater range that require less skill to use.

There are better, more efficient mid-range jutsus than Air Palm.

There are better, less intensive defenses than Rotation.

There are better sensory techniques than the Byakugan.


If you want to physically see great distances, then yeah, the Byakugan is unmatched, or I suppose if you want to see the chakra circulatory system for some reason, then sure. But for literally every other facet of the Byakugan and the Hyuuga's abilities in general, there is a better, more efficient way to achieve the same or greater results.

The Hyuuga Clan was ignored just like any other clan because kishi started to wank the uchiha clan mid-series for some reason. But he still showed us what the byakugan is capable of if used by a rikudo character.

I'm not talking about the characters themselves, but the clan's lore and development as a whole.

Not even the Senju were relevant since their lore and background basically boils down to Hashirima with Moukuton and NOTHING else

I'm glad the Otsutsuki became the main focus since Kaguya and in Boruto.
