Did Kishi give Spiral Zetsu do a figurative ass pull?

I'm not understanding how Spiral Zetsu could use the 5 base elemental chakra without the Rinnegan or Bashōsen. I thought it was implied that that without either (or being a Child of Prophecy that may allow Naruto to use all 5 without either), a character can't use all 5 base elemental. The closest we got was Kakuzu (only in video games does he have Suiton).

One explanation I can think of if that would make sense is Madara eventually transferred some of his Rinnegan power to Spiral Zetsu. That is, somehow without having Spiral Zetsu actually have the Rinnegan, he still got capability to use all 5 elements.

Regarding Hiruzen, I think that it's Edo Tensei that allowed him to do all 5 elements. As powerful as his living self was, his zombie clone self enhanced his ability to use the elements.

Since we only have seen Hiruzen use all 5 by way of his Edo, for the time being and until a panel is shown that has living Hiruzen using all 5, I am going to say that he got this power from Edo Tensei.

He's using the ginat statue, which is madara's, who has rinnegan, thus the 5 elements.

That, or spiral zetsu took over Obito's body.

Hiruzen could all 5 elements when he was alive, just not in repetition like he can now.

As for spiral zetsu, he is clearly different from all the others, so it's actually not surprising that he exhibits other abilities.

Did you forget the power boost Obito got when he put the Spiral Zetsu as clothes, while connected to the Mazou? Spiral has always been that strong. I'm not surprised.

.......you dont get additional jutsu from edo tensai you are brought back the same as when you died so yup sarutobi did have 5 elements when he was alive.
and it was the hand statue thing using the 5 elements not spiral zetsu...its a hashi jutsu of course its gonna be op

Spiral zetsu is not a reagular human ninja that's why he can use all 5 elements.

It's was once said that Hiruzen invented the five element seal, which is done by gathering all five elements on the five fingers, jiraya and oro too should be able to use all five since they have been shown to use the seal.

Using the 5 elements is possible for any ninja, it just takes years of training, less for those more exceptional. With that said, zetsu are just weaker versions of Hashirama, who trough training could have learned all 5 elements. The zetsu are also powered up by the gedo, also an explanation.

the only one that had new jutsu was madara and thats because of kabuto the only enhancements it gives you is immortality and unlimited chakra
