That's what Kishi said in an interview. Lol
Does kishi have some media managing personnel like celebrities have that tell them what to say and what not to say?

Nah. Or he would have not used that stupid genjutsu scene before finale fight.![]()
Like seriously, why in the hell did kishi have Sasuke knock her out? He should have had Sakura passed out from using to much chakara instead of having her future "husband" knock her out. I don't understand that.
Theoretically (with quite an amount of booze, lol), this was meant to show that he CARED about her - by NOT actually killing her, loool.Like seriously, why in the hell did kishi have Sasuke knock her out? Doesn't look like it. Far from him having a media managing personnel, he doesn't seem to see the need to arrange his thought that much. He is asked a question an he blurts out anything which comes in his mind at the time and the interviewers are also asking questions on certain pattern and not cross questioning him and forcing him to think and give more clear replies. Each interview raises as many questions as many answers it provides...
He is just a tired man enjoying free time and still seem to have the mentality of small town average boy who had drawing talents and succeeded in his dream of being a mangaka. He stood 38 in his class of 39 students and was poor in language paper.
Not a bad performance from his POV. We can live with it or move on. lol
My POV says he pitied Hinata after reading this

SasuSaku is extremely self-contradicting (loving someone who tried killing you, yet without any needed reason at all, *FACEPALM*).
But it's exactly what Kishi wanted it to be, so nuff said.
Makes me like Hinata 9000 times more in contrast.
(Which, again, might have been Kishi's plan altogether as well - we'll never know.)

There is a way to understand his last actions in the light of his idiotic attempt to make everyone hate him - and logically, using genjutsu on Sakura is a sign that he CARED about her, cause if he didn't, he'd use a more EFFICIENT way to make Kakashi and others hate him by KILLING her instead.
The fact that he DIDN'T, despite the kill being a more efficient option, was meant to show that he actually cares about Sakura.
Except this whole idea was idiotic from the start ANYWAYS.
It wasn't stupid thoughNah. Or he would have not used that stupid genjutsu scene before finale fight.![]()

This is crazy to me.
The reason he needed to kill Naruto was because he was his last bond.
That tells me that NOT killing her indicated she was a non-factor. Meaning he didn't care about her.
This contradicts Sasuke's frame of mind at the time. If he felt something for you, you had to die.
In response to the OP- shit after all she put up with I guess Sasuke would eventually realize the she has been ****** ***** from day one. Might as well wife her after he's done everything he wants to do and decide to throw her a bone.
Same with Hinata only in kinder terms. How's Kishi going to have her sacrifice herself for Naruto and NOT put them together?!
With writing at this level, it was a given.
I'd say that the genjutsu has exactly the same meaning of Sakura being unable to kill Sasuke in Iron.He didn't consider her a threat in his way. Killing Naruto was not just for breaking the bond( though it would serve that too)- Naruto stood in his way to his revolution. He wouldn't allow Sasuke to kill the bijjus or the kages and that's why he was trying to kill him first.
It's like you didn't read any of the Sasuke's plan properly.
I'd say that the genjutsu has exactly the same meaning of Sakura being unable to kill Sasuke in Iron.
Both of them saw the other as a an obstacle to something (Sakura saw Sasuke as an obstacle to his own goodness, so she wanted to "save" him by preventing his further downfall; Sasuke saw Sakura as an obstacle to him getting rid of all of his bonds, so he wanted to kill her to get rid of those) - yet neither could actually DO it for real, which proves that BOTH of them had feelings strong enough to STOP them from even their own PLANS.
Otherwise, I don't see why Sasuke had to waste energy on a complicated genjutsu, instead of just killing her on the spot.
Wait, unless it took him LESS chakra to just genjutsu her, than actually chidori - though I'm sure he had OTHER ways of killing her anyways, so...
Confusing and stupid, anyways.
If Sakura didn't get with Sasuke she would have been a complete loser. As she failed to achieve her other goals.
